Art Gallery

The Henderson Fine Arts Gallery hosts shows with artists from the surrounding community and several artists throughout the Four Corners region.

Built in 1994, the Henderson Fine Arts Center featured many new additions to the San Juan College campus, including an art wing that features the Gallery Space now used today. The Gallery seeks to integrate works of art into our everyday experience by bringing in diverse work for the enjoyment and education of our students and community.

Permanent Art Collection at San Juan College

The San Juan College Permanent Art Collection includes several different mediums and styles of artwork that have been donated to the College and some works that have been purchased. Paintings, textiles, ceramics, and photography are just a few of the many different types of works that belong to the collection and are displayed in many buildings throughout the main campus and the East and West Campuses. The collection reflects the unique culture to be found at San Juan College, including landscapes, people, and subject matter that resonates with our community.

Native American Rugs Donated by Mr. and Mrs. Culpepper.

In late 2011, San Juan College received a large donation of Native American rugs from long-time Farmington residents Bob and Mary Culpepper. They support the college in many ways and are interested in preserving this ancient art form. Each rug is a unique artwork, and many of the Rugs have been framed and displayed throughout the San Juan College campus.
